Police have launched a manhunt for Jake Turner, a Brixton-based DJ, in connection with the suspected murder of 26-year-old Amy Morris, whose body was discovered a few days ago.
Turner, 28, is believed to have been the last person to see Amy alive. He had been performing at M-Bar, the nightclub where Amy celebrated her birthday before she disappeared nearly a week ago.
Detectives confirmed a major breakthrough in the investigation after forensic teams recovered a debit card at the scene where Amy’s body was found on the outskirts of Brixton early Tuesday morning. The card was initially linked to Craig Lomax, one of Amy’s friends who was questioned earlier this week. However, it was later confirmed that Lomax had lent the card to Turner on the night Amy went missing.
Following this discovery, Lomax was released without charge. Police were alerted to the connection after friends of both men came forward with new information about the card and its use that night.
