Search Underway for Missing Woman Amy Morris in Brixton
Police have launched an urgent appeal for information after 26-year-old Amy Morris was reported missing following a night out in Brixton celebrating her birthday. Amy, a graphic designer, was last seen in the early hours two nights ago, leaving M-Bar, a popular nightclub in the area.
Amy had been celebrating her 26th birthday with friends, starting the evening with pre-drinks at their shared flat in Brixton before heading to the venue. Witnesses recall seeing her leave M-Bar alone around 1:30 a.m., but her whereabouts after that remain unknown. Friends grew concerned when she did not return home and failed to respond to calls or messages.
She was in great spirits, laughing and having fun,” said Jake, one of Amy’s friends who was with her that night. “We didn’t think twice when she decided to step out for a moment, but when she didn’t come back, we started to worry. This isn’t like her at all.”
Her last instagram post stated that she was drunk while at the bar and friends are incredibly worried for her safety.
Amy is described as 5’6”, with shoulder-length dark brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a black dress, a black leather jacket, tights, and black shoes. Her family and friends have expressed their growing concern for her safety, urging anyone with information to come forward.
Police have been reviewing CCTV footage from the area and are conducting searches in nearby streets and parks. Officers are particularly keen to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity of M-Bar or Brixton town centre between 1:30 a.m. and 4:00 a.m.
“We’re appealing to the public for any information, no matter how small, that might help us locate Amy,” said Detective Inspector Sarah Carter, leading the investigation. “Whether you saw her leaving the venue, spoke to her, or noticed anything unusual, please contact us.”
Amy’s family has described her as a kind, outgoing person who lights up every room she enters. They are urging anyone with information to assist in the search. “We just want her home safe,” said her mother. “If anyone knows anything, please don’t stay silent.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact the police or anonymously through Crimesolvers. The search for Amy continues, with police and volunteers working tirelessly to bring her home.
